David Lim is an American actor and entrepreneur best known for his eight-season run as Officer Victor Tan on CBS’s S.W.A.T. Appearing in more than 150 episodes, he brought a mix of action, humor, and heart to the long-running series.
Before joining S.W.A.T., David recurred as CIA recruit Sebastian Chen on ABC’s thriller Quantico. His other television credits include Supergirl, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Criminal Minds, 90210, and more.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, David earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego before pursuing a career in entertainment. He began his career with Ford Models and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time.
Outside of acting, David is the co-founder of Maya David, a jewelry brand he launched with his wife, Marketa. Their small-batch pieces are handcrafted in Los Angeles with an emphasis on thoughtful design, natural materials, and everyday wear.
Outside of work, David enjoys traveling, staying active, playing basketball and soccer, and spending time with Marketa and their dog, Miles.
